Q&A Session With A Student From WJU

 What is there to do on campus?

Our Campus Activity Board (CAB) is busy around the clock organizing and planning events for the students on campus.  Students can see a movie in WJU's On-Campus Movie Theater, or head down to the RATT for a night of karaoke.  The RATT (WJU's on-campus pub) hosts comedians, magicians, bands, and DJ's.  There is always something different, and it's tons of fun!  Some nights will have a theme, like "casino night" or "decade night," where students will dress up in outfits from the 60's, 70's, and 80's and dance the night away.  Some would say that "Last Blast" is the highlight of the year.  During the week before finals, when students most need a little break from the constant studying, WJU hosts "Last Blast" on Donahue Lawn.  There is free food, tons of games, and live music from the bands that come in to play.  During previous years, there have been obstacle courses, inflatables, Sumo wrestling, rock climbing, and even a game of "Fear Factor!"

 What is there to do off campus in Wheeling?

There is always something exciting happening in Wheeling, WV.  St. Clairsville Mall, with its multitude of shops and restaurants, is not too far away.  Olgebay Park is absolutely beautiful every time of the year.  Go and see it's striking gardens in the spring and it's magical "Festival of Lights" around Christmas.  The Nailer's Student Rush program allows WJU students to come the WesBanco Arena one hour before the hockey game, show their student ID, and receive wonderful seats for only five dollars.  For the college students who enjoy the dance scene, check out River City for a night of dancing and fun with your friends!

 What if I don't have a car on campus?

 That's fine!  Wheeling Jesuit sends a van of students to the mall and to Walmart every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month.  Wheeling Jesuit University also sponsors many exciting outings in which every student can participate.  In the winter, students can go skiing at Olgebay Park or ice-skating at Wheeling Park.  Students can have a fun time and also earn wellness credits!
