Wheeling Jesuit University will host a group of local and regional speakers to help 'motivate' students and local residents to effect change and overcome obstacles in their lives.

“Motivation Unleashed” will be offered at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 22. The presentation is open to the public and will take place inside Troy Theater, located in WJU's Swint Hall. Laurie Conway from WTRF-TV will moderate this interactive presentation between the five speakers and the audience.

“At Wheeling Jesuit, we seek to help our students answer three fundamental questions ¬- who am I, what are my gifts and talents, and what am I called to do. This program is a wonderful opportunity to connect our students to an exceptional group of speakers, each of whom brings stories and approaches that can impact our student's lives and futures,” said Dan Dentino, Wheeling Jesuit University vice president of student services.

“I encourage anyone - on campus and in the community -- who is looking to improve their lives to join us for this extraordinary presentation.” Dentino added.

Motivation Unleashed features presentations by local three Ohio Valley residents, Sherrie Dunlevy, former TV and radio newscaster, Anthony Mougianis, president/CEO Apollo Pro Cleaning and Restoration of Steubenville and Shari Jo Watkins, owner of Elite Pro Coaching of Steubenville. In addition, Rob Oliver, Pittsburgh's number one motivational speaker and Mike Fallat, owner of Dream Starters, Pittsburgh will join the conversation.

“College students are just starting out and are beginning in their careers. Some may already be in a mindset of taking that 'safe route.' What each one of us who are speaking can offer students is advice to help them to grow in the careers and in life,” Dunlevy explained.

Dunlevy, a resident of Wheeling, spent the past 30 plus years in broadcasting, first as a TV news anchor at WTOV-TV in Steubenville and more recently hosting as a daily talk show on WKKX radio in Wheeling. She recently published a book “How Can I help - Your Go-to Guide for Helping Loved Ones Through Lives Difficulties.” The book, which is a best seller on Amazon, was inspired following the loss of her infant son.

“Fear holds many people back from exploring new career paths or just taking chances in life. I will talk about how to step out of fear and playing it small, by offering some personal stories of how overcoming fear allowed me to grow. I think if you put that fear aside, you can step into greatness,” Dunlevy said.

Oliver will talk about how an accident changed his life. Now, a quadriplegic, Oliver will speak about how his accident changed him. Oliver has spent the past 20 years sharing a message about overcoming obstacles and achieving success regardless of the circumstance.

Fallat talks at colleges around the country offering college students and entrepreneurs expertise on start up businesses. He also has a best selling book “The Start Up Guide for the Die-Hard Entrepreneur.” He will offer a straight forward, simplistic approach to help save time and money when starting a business.

Mougianis will speak about how people can do anything in life if you work hard, believe in yourself, you can become it. A local businessman, he is an example of a self-made entrepreneur who pays his success forward with his family, friends, employees and parish.

Watkins is a life coach from Wheeling who coaches companies and individuals to achieve their life goals. She will offer insights to help people discover and travel the path they have always wanted and how to make each day the best day ever.
