Campanelli Lands on All-Region Team
Mansfield, PA, Nov. 7, 2009---Wheeling Jesuit junior Sarah Campanelli scored an 11th place finish for the top placement by a WVIAC athlete and a spot on the All-Region Team at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Cross Country Regionals in Mansfield, PA.

Wheeling Jesuit Cross Country Regional Expectations
On Saturday, November 7, 2009, the Wheeling Jesuit men’s and women’s cross country teams will travel to Mansfield, Pennsylvania for the 2009 NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Championships at Lambs Creek Recreation Area.

Glenville, WV---The closest finishes in WVIAC history were anticipated and the 2009 edition of the conference's cross country championship meets did not disappoint as West Virginia Wesleyan and Seton Hill finished in a deadlock atop the men's standings and Wesleyan won a tight decision in the women's race.

Sarah Campanelli posted the fastest 5K time of the season at 18:45.87 to earn the women's honors.
Ryan Beabout claimed the men's award after recording an 8K time of 25:55.34.

WVIAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week:
Sarah Campanelli, Wheeling Jesuit, Jr., Gahanna, OH: Campanelli finished fourth at the Duquesne Duals with a 5K time of 19:02 and was the highest placing non-Division I athlete at the meet.
