Wheeling Jesuit Volleyball Tops WV State 3-1

Institute, WV, Sept. 19, 2009---Wheeling Jesuit women's volleyball team improved to 10-4 on the season and 2-0 in WVIAC play today. They defeated conference rival West Virginia State University 3-1 by scores of 16-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-15.

Three Caridinals recorded double digit kills, and freshman Allissa Ware lead they way with 13 and added 15 digs. Senior Catie Halberstadt tallied 12 and 19 digs while junior Emily Borchers ended with 10 kills.

Juniors Kristen Dubroy and Keysha Allison were responisible for 49 of the team's 52 assists, while junior Laura O'Reilly anchored the defense with 25 digs.

The Lady Cardinals will travel to California, PA on Tuesday, September 22nd for a rematch of last year's Regional Championship, as they battle regional  rival  California University of  Pennsylvania at 7:00 p.m.
