Ware and Halberstadt Lead Cardinals

Freshman Allissa Ware recorded 18 kills and senior Catie Halberstadt had 29 digs as they led the way to an exciting 3-2 victory over Edinboro University by scores of 25-21, 22-25, 25-18, 26-28, and 15-9.

Tied nine to nine in the deciding fifth set, Halberstadt and Ware took charge, with Halberstadt serving for six consecutive points and Ware knocking down the final five kills of the match.

Halberstadt added 11 kills and two service aces and junior Keysha Allison had eight kills, 23 assists, 15 digs and two service aces. 

The Cardinal offense recorded 51 kills and six service aces during the five set match while the defense made 82 digs in holding the Fighting Scots to a .161 hitting percentage.

Wheeling Jesuit will play host to Pitt-Johnstown on Thursday, October 15th at 7:00 p.m.  All fans are encouraged to wear RED to the match for our Fan of the Day promotion.
