WJU Volleyball Downs Clarion

Wheeling Jesuit volleyball team (14-5) defeated Clarion University (16-3)  3-1 by scores of 24-26, 25-23, 25-22, and 25-20 at the Alma Grace McDonough Center on Tuesday evening.

Senior Catie Halberstadt and Freshman Allissa Ware each tallied 17 kills while Halberstadt added 27 digs.  Junior Keysha Allison also had a solid performance with 8 kills, 27 assists and 17 digs.  Senior Missy Gossett added 9 kills with 7 blocks and junior libero Laura O'Reilly anchored the defense with 28 digs.

The Cardinals will host conference rival Shepherd University on Friday October 2nd at 7:00 p.m.
