Men's Soccer Tops Ohio Valley University 3-1

Vienna, WV, Oct. 13, 2009--- Wheeling Jesuit scored twice in the first half on Tuesday evening on their way to a 3-1 victory over Ohio Valley University.

Junior Nik Balzer put the first goal on the board off a pass from sophomore Victor Picchio and the second goal was an own goal on OVU.

In the second half, Wheeling Jesuit struck in the 63rd minute, making the game 3-0.  Freshman Dominic Welsh recorded his first goal of the season off a pass from freshman Cody Coven.

WJU's keeper Shane Young earned the decision and tallied three saves but failed to stop a penalty kick in the 80th minute.

Wheeling Jesuit will travel to Salem International on Friday, October 16th for a 2 p.m. conference match.
