An Update from Academic Affairs
From Letha Zook, Academic Dean
Happy Holidays! I am writing this as I prepare to leave for vacation to Florida! So please excuse the brevity of this message.
We have had a very eventful and productive fall semester. I encourage you to look at the News section of our Web site! You will find there stories of our current students success. Our psychology students not only excel in research, they take this knowledge and use it to shine on the standardized tests.
Alpha Sigma Nu inducted new members of the society in November. The talents of our students were displayed as the WJU Class of 1969 Chamber Singers preformed at St. Michaels Church for the Christmas concert.
As we look forward to the second half of our academic year, we are focusing on a broad analysis of our University. The parts of this analysis include a market research analysis of all professional/graduate and undergraduate programs. The ongoing accreditation process helps us take a critical look how well we are meeting our mission, learning and teaching goals. The last part of this includes a look at the financial analysis of the entire University. From this analysis we will develop strategic options for growing the University.
One of the things that we know for sure is that we are on the right track in the process of our education. We know this because of you … our graduates. We know that you are making a difference in our world with your skills. We are proud to have been a part of your life. I pray that you have a blessed and peaceful holiday season!
